Greene King strikes coffee deal with Paddy & Scotts


Greene King and Paddy & Scott’s have entered into a new multi-year partnership that sees the two Suffolk companies teaming up to offer high-quality coffee in pubs.

Under the new partnership, Greene King’s Metropolitan Pub Company is rolling the coffee out in all of its 60-plus sites. Licensees in Greene King’s Pub Partners division, comprising 1,000 leased and tenanted pubs nationwide, also have the option of serving Paddy & Scott’s coffee in their pubs.

Paddy & Scott’s have their roots in Suffolk and specialise in beautifully crafted coffee, industry leading barista training, high impact promotional campaigns and coffee that is changing lives for those living in coffee growing regions.

Greene King Local Pubs Director, Karen Bosher said, “We’re thrilled that all our Metropolitan Pub Company pubs will soon have Paddy & Scott’s coffee available for all our customers. We’re constantly seeing increasing demands for quality coffee and we’re delighted to be able to offer such a premium product.

Paddy & Scotts has also revealed a 38% growth in sales for the final 6 months of 2019 as it continues in its mission to serve beautiful, socially and community focused coffee to people around the UK.

The Suffolk-based firm has also opened a new Headquarters and concept cafe; Ambition House overlooking the Waterfront in Ipswich and enjoyed a record harvest from its own coffee farm in Meru, Kenya.

Paddy & Scott's now produce over 30,000 cups of its award-winning, slow-roasted coffee per day, from its own fuelling stations to over 150 branded concessions.

Beyond the UK, the firm has entered Hong Kong, Shanghai, and the Middle East. It supplies some of the finest restaurants in the UK, favoured by celebrity chefs and enjoyed in some of London's finest Hotels. It also supplies its coffee to the likes of Virgin Atlantic, Sony, HP, O2 and Barclays.
