The store will offer fresh fruit and vegetables, an in-store bakery offering breads and pastries, chilled beers and wines, fresh and frozen product, Irresistible product ranges, as well as a great selection of food to go.

A food bank collection point will also be installed which will support the great work of the Hope Nottingham Food Bank as it continues to manage the increased demand caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

In line with the latest Government guidance, the store will have a range of social distancing measures in place which customers will be asked to adhere to, as well as other measures designed to keep everyone safe such as checkout screens and gloves, visors and hand sanitiser for colleagues.

Wilmot Lane Central England Co-operative Store Manager, Ashley Carter said, “We are delighted that we will finally be opening the doors and welcoming the community into our brand new store in Beeston.

“These are not the circumstances that we ever imagined launching this fantastic new store in, but we are looking forward to being there with the vital food and essentials locals need in these uncertain times and to being a part of a great community in Beeston.”

The pictures showcase how both the inside and the outside of the store have now been completed and are ready for thousands of products to be stacked onto the shelves ahead of the official opening.

The car park has been finished, special eco-friendly fridges and lighting have been installed to back up the retailer’s eco-friendly ethos and the store's kiosk is now in situ.

The Wilmot Lane Co-operative food store will be open from 7am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday.
