Boxpark seeks new sites for nationwide expansion

The food and retail park operator, Boxpark is seeking sites of between 10,000 sq ft and 100,000 sq ft for the nationwide expansion of its retail and office co-working operations.

Boxpark is planning to launch different formats, such as smaller 'Boxhalls' in London and 'Boxoffices', which will incorporate office space.

The company, which operates shipping container parks in Shoreditch, Croydon and Wembley, is planning to open two sites a year for the next five years, as it aims to have a Boxpark in every major UK city.

Launched in 2011 by Roger Wade, Boxpark saw net profit rise 22% to £1.6m and turnover soared 58% to £12.5m in the year to the end of April 2019, driven by the opening of its latest site in Wembley.
