Greene King partners with Round to benefit tenanted pubs

Greene King’s Pub Partners and brewery divisions have announced a new partnership with a new order and pay app provider to benefit its 1,000 tenanted pubs plus free trade customers.

The leased and tenanted pub company is now working with Round to ensure as many as possible of its leased and tenanted pubs have easy access to an order and pay app for their customers.

The Greene King brewery is also signposting its free trade customers to the Round app as well.

Greene King’s partners and customers have been given the opportunity to register with Round, with pubs that sign up receiving a complimentary Samsung tablet that can easily be set up to process orders. Round will work with the venues to train and support and offers a customised menu on the app for a better customer experience and improved visibility for the pub.

Greene King Pub Partners managing director, Wayne Shurvinton said, “We looked at a number of order and pay apps that we could offer our partners but Round really stood out for us. We were impressed by its functionality, simplicity and the support the ROUND team offer.

“It’s clear a lot of customers will be expecting to be able to order via an app when they visit pubs now so I’m pleased that we’ve been able to put a solution in place as we continue to offer every support we can to all our leased and tenanted partners as they reopen their pubs.”

Round chief executive officer, Ethan Martin said, “We are really excited to be partnering with Greene King Pub Partners and its free trade team. It has always been our mission to support publicans and restaurant operators, which is especially important in these times. Through Round, venues can receive orders, whilst retaining their brand and design throughout their menu.

'Users can access hundreds of pubs on one app meaning access to the entire Round community with excellent marketing capabilities to communicate with not only their customers through the app, but also grow customer base and recognition.

“Over the past two years, we have focused on developing a platform to digitally transform hospitality in a way that is accessible to all. Whilst we fully understand the need for pub closures, we are excited for the plans to reopen and are particularly excited that Round will be part of the solution in navigating what ‘new normal’ will look like in terms of business and social life.

'We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at Greene King Pub Partners and look forward to a partnership which will facilitate evolution in this sector.”
