Ocado has signed a 10-year lease on a 32,600 sq ft groceries distribution warehouse in Merton, south-west London from landlord Aviva Investors.
Merton Council approved changing the use of the 1.6 acre site from retail to industrial and storage in June this year.
The property has been refurbished and now includes dock levellers, fuel pumps as well as a widened entry road.
Colin Lawrence-Warterhouse, asset manager at Aviva Investors, said, “I’m very pleased to welcome Ocado to Merton Industrial Park, leasing the former Homebase retail unit that we have successfully repositioned for last mile logistics.”
