Co-op is set to serve-up two food stores in Birmingham this month (October) following a £2.3m investment supporting 30 local jobs.
The retailer has overhauled the infrastructure of its petrol filling station located in High Street, Harborne, and extended the food store on site by almost one-third to approaching 3,000 sq ft to create a new-look, spacious, store with a compelling offer to serve the community, conveniently.
The Harborne store reopens on Friday, 16 October, following a £1.5m programme of works which commenced in early June. It includes Amazon Lockers, hot food, a bakery, Costa coffee express and customer car parking alongside a focus on fresh, healthy produce, award winning wines, ready meals and pizzas, free-from and vegan products, Fairtrade, food-to-go and, everyday essentials. It opens between 6am-11pm daily.
In addition, the Co-op is serving up a new store in University Locks, Birmingham (B4), on Friday, 23, October, following a near £800k investment by the convenience creating 12 new jobs.
Groceries are also available from both stores on the Deliveroo App, with Co-op the most widely available supermarket on the Deliveroo App.
