Department store Fenwick, have put forward plans to Colchester Borough Council for a £30m development of its Williams & Griffin store in Colchester high street which will create a further 45 new jobs for the area.
If the plans are approved, building work could begin next year and will see the shops floor space be increased by 50% as well as a full refurbishment.
The plans are due to be discussed by Colchester Borough Council on 13 December, subject to findings from a public consultation.
