New Sainsbury’s Local opens in West Yorkshire village

Northowram residents and visitors to the West Yorkshire village can now enjoy the convenience of a brand new Sainsbury’s Local, with the opening of the retailer’s newest store today.

Located in the historic Tannery Business Centre, the 4,011 sq. ft. store is open 7am and 11pm seven days a week.

The new store stocks Sainsbury’s latest convenience range, from fresh fruit and veg, healthy snacks and food-to-go, to sweet, savoury and frozen staples. Customers can choose from a selection of bread and pastries, freshly baked every day and offers on-the-go hot drinks via a Costa Coffee machine.

Patrick Dunne, Property Director, shared, “We’re delighted that we’ve been given the chance to become part of the ongoing history of The Tannery Business Centre, creating new jobs and helping to ensure it will continue to be a vibrant local hub for Northowram for many years to come.

'We’re looking forward to getting to know our new customers and to seeing the Centre grow as the plans for its redevelopment progress further.”

Feraz Hussain, Northowram Bradford Road Local Store Manager, added, “We’ve been working hard to get everything ready to launch our brand new store and I can’t wait to hear what our customers think.

'Whether by providing great value, high quality products, brilliant colleague service or making a wider contribution to the local community, my team and I are ready to play our part. “
