Ramsay and Beckham to open London restaurant

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his company Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH) has revealed he is to open a new restaurant alongside David Beckham who is financially backing the new site.

The duo is to open Union Street Cafe in September, located close to London’s Borough market. It will be the first London opening for GRH since Bread Street Kitchen which opened at the One New Change development in the City in September 2011. The company has since been focusing on its expansion overseas, with venues now open in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Dubai.

The news of the opening comes after Gordon Ramsay Holdings reported a rise in pre-tax profits of £2m in the year to August 2012, taking is company back into profit.
