Crerar Hotels promotes two managers to brand new directorial positions

Crerar Hotels Group has today announced the creation of two new directorial positions within its senior team following a duo of promotions, cementing its commitment to promoting from within and supporting the growth of its own people.

As part of its continued investment in its people and properties, Crerar Hotels has promoted Alison MacLeod, former Group Marketing Manager, who now takes on the role of Marketing Director and Jodie Wilson (formerly Group Revenue Manager) who steps up as Commercial Director.

Alison, who joined Crerar Hotels in early 2021, has played a major part in transforming the company’s brand position post-lockdown, and completely refreshing its marketing operations. As Marketing Director, Alison will continue to lead the marketing team and oversee the marketing strategy for the group of seven hotels and inns across Scotland.

Meanwhile, former Group Revenue Manager Jodie has been promoted to Commercial Director, having worked with the brand for more than two years. Jodie has been instrumental in the group’s revenue management making a significant contribution to the commercial achievements of the company.

Alison and Jodie are supported by Catriona Piper, Group Marketing Executive, and Deanna Hogg, Group Revenue Executive.

CEO Chris Wayne-Wills commented, “Alison and Jodie have contributed significantly to the company and exceeded the expectations of their management roles, so it was a natural evolution for them to join the senior team in their new director positions.

“Since first joining us, they both have gone above and beyond their remits so the decision to promote within the company was an incredibly easy one. At Crerar Hotels, we pride ourselves on supporting our people in both their professional and personal growth, and believe it is important to continue to invest, not only in our properties but in our team.

“It is a real pleasure and inspiration to work alongside both Alison and Jodie, and I look forward to seeing their contributions as we soon approach 2023 and beyond.”

Alison added, “Crerar Hotels’ commitment to the continued growth and development of its team members is one of the many reasons why I love working for the company.

“I’m very lucky to work alongside such a talented group of individuals, who are all dedicated to the Crerar Hotels brand and also to the Scottish hospitality and tourism industry itself.”

Whilst Crerar Hotels has spent £4.5m investing in three of its properties - Golf View Hotel & Spa, Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa and Balmoral Arms this year - the company has also made a £1m investment in staff recruitment, retention, and development, to ensure they continue to provide an excellent guest experience and remain a true employer of choice.

Crerar Hotels has a collection of four- and five-star hotels and inns located in stunning destinations across Scotland such as Mull, Glencoe and Ballater.
