Nobu to open first European hotel in London


Luxury hotel and restaurant chain, Nobu Hospitality has revealed plans to open its first European hotel, the Nobu Hotel Shoreditch in East London.

Construction has already started on the five storey hotel which will operate under a long term management agreement between Nobu Hospitality and Willow Corp Sarl, the owner of the hotel.

The five star hotel, which is being developed by London based boutique developer Meir Abutul, will feature 156 rooms, fitness centre, private garden and a restaurant showcasing a menu developed by Owner and Chef Nobu Matsuhisa exclusively for the hotel.

Nobu’s Chief Executive Officer, Trevor Horwell said, “The Nobu hotel Shoreditch in London is our first European hotel joining our portfolio collection of hotels covering select locations in the Americas, Middle East and Asia.”

He added, “We are as such continuing to expand our global hotel footprint with a robust development pipeline working with the best strategic partners.”

The luxury lifestyle group, best known for its chain of restaurants, opened its first Nobu hotel last year in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. Further hotels are planned for Manilla, Miami, Chicago and Bahrain and Nobu Hotel Riyadh located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is currently under construction, scheduled to open in November.

The Nobu Hotel Shoreditch is projected to open in the first quarter of 2016.
