The Trump Organisation, owned by US tycoon Donald Trump has announced plans to refurbish the Turnberry Hotel in South Ayrshire which overlooks one of Scotland’s most famous golf courses.
The company plans to invest a minimum of £100m to enhance the hotel at the iconic South Ayrshire golf resort.
The hotel, which will be owned and managed by The Trump Organisation, will be renamed Trump Turnberry.
Donald Trump said, “I am honoured to own and manage this magnificent property, perhaps the most exciting property there is. We will be spending a great deal of time, effort and money to make Trump Turnberry the finest resort of its kind anywhere in the world.”
The Trump Organisation purchased the resort from Dubai based Leisurecorp and now owns a total of 17 golf resorts worldwide.
