Royal Opera House to launch afternoon tea this Autumn

Launching in Autumn, the Royal Opera House has announced it's to serve afternoon tea in the magnificent setting of the Paul Hamlyn Hall.

World-renowned pastry chef Claire Clark MBE has created a range of cakes and pastries that combine seasonal British ingredients with classic recipes and her typically innovative presentation. Royal Opera House Gateau Opera, banoffee macaron, and pistachio éclair with praline are among the delights in store.

'I’m very excited to be designing Tea at the Royal Opera House. Tea is experiencing a real revival in London at the moment and the Paul Hamlyn Hall is such a beautiful space associated with so much heritage and culture,' says Clark.

Sandwiches and freshly baked scones, with homemade seasonal fruit jams made from the finest ingredients, and cakes are on the menu. There will be a wide range of loose leaf teas, tisanes, tea-themed cocktails and Champagne from Ruinart.

Bookings for Tea at the Royal Opera House open on July 28.
