Latin American restaurant group, Las Iguanas has received accreditation from the Vegetarian Society and is the first casual dining operator to be recognised by the organisation.
Las Iguanas has been producing a separate vegetarian and vegan menu for some time and has invested heavily in its kitchens to include separate fryers and griddles for vegetarian meals. The kitchens use vegetarian cheese in its meat-free dishes and desserts are gelatine free.
The firm provides a Vegetarian and Vegan menu and dishes include: Vegetarian Chimichanga (pictured), Three Mushroom Fajita, and Empandas (brie & mango filled).
Surveys have been showing that it's not just vegetarians who look for meat-free options when dining out. The number of people seeking to reduce their intake of meat are a fast growing sector.
