Extra MSA plans £65m service station for M42 near Solihull

Extra MSA has unveiled plans to build a new £65m service station on the M42 motorway near Solihull.

The new service station, planned between junctions 5 and 6, will be the biggest motorway service station in the West Midlands, creating 300 new jobs.

Chief Executive of MSA Group, Andrew Long said, “This will be the busiest motorway service area in the West Midlands by a significant margin and is much needed.'

'We would expect this to be in the top three or four busiest locations of its kind in the UK. It very much puts Solihull on the map.'

If planning permission is approved Extra MSA plans to start work on the site by 2016 and will open in 2017.
