The Country Range Group (CRG) has appointed Dean Pendlebury, previously head of training, as its new buying director, with the role taking effect on 1 January 2026.
Pendlebury has been with CRG since 2013, contributing over a decade of experience. Throughout his tenure, he has managed purchasing strategy, tenders, and trading compliance, playing a key role in the company’s operations.
CRG chief executive Martin Ward, said: “Dean has been pivotal in our recent success and in helping us take our collective purchasing power past the £360 million mark, so we’re delighted to announce him as our new buying director.
“He’s innovative, hardworking, diligent, and thoroughly deserves this opportunity as we look to retain talent and further strengthen our head office team.”
This appointment is part of CRG’s strategy to reinforce its leadership team in the central office and support the wider buying team in the year ahead.
In his new role, Pendlebury will lead the execution of CRG’s buying plan, aligning with the company’s five-year strategy and focusing on increasing overall sales value.
During his tenure at CRG, Pendlebury has held several key roles, including category buyer, senior buyer, and head of training.
