J. Sheekey, the renowned seafood restaurant located in the heart of theatreland, will be reopening on Monday, 21 June, celebrating its milestone 125 anniversary with an exciting yet tasteful refurbishment, limited-edition 125 Platter and much-loved classics.
Since its conception in 1896, 'Sheekey’s' has been providing theatre goers, casts and audiences with the finest seafood and shellfish from its home in St Martin’s Court. This month, the team are excited to unveil new touches to the restaurant, including a fully winterised terrace, complete with a retractable roof and iconic red frontage, a new central crustacean bar, and elegant flooring.
Tim Hughes, Chef Director, and Andrew McLay, Executive Chef, will be back at the helm, providing guests with a delicious menu of J. Sheekey classics including Sheekey’s Fish Pie, featuring fresh halibut, salmon and smoked haddock, and the Plateau de Fruits de Mer, incorporating an impressive display of mixed oysters, cock crab, Atlantic prawns, mussels, clams, ceviche, cockles, whelks and langoustine.
For a limited time only, diners will also be able to enjoy the J. Sheekey 125 Platter, featuring a dozen mixed oysters, 20g platinum caviar and two glasses of Champagne for £125.
For those looking to enjoy their seafood alongside a delicious cocktail, the bar team will be serving up a series of new creations including the Ephemeral Daiquiri (£11.50), a blend of Havana Club 3yo Rum, pineapple sherbet, lime, pineapple and Anis Bitters, and the Gin Daisy), with Beefeater Gin, citrus, grenadine and soda water.
