New marketing director for sparkling kombucha tea brand

The Real Brewing Company's Real Sparkling Tea has announced the appointment of Racheal Vaughan Jones as the brand's new Marketing Director.

Vaughan Jones brings a wealth of experience in all facets of the drinks space. Starting her career at Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard) where she managed the Prestige Scotch portfolio launching Ballantine’s single malts into the global market.

With important startup experience, Vaughan spent time as Head of Brand at Lucky Saint (its first marketing appointment) which involved launching the brand into retail and on draught in the UK. She was also the mastermind behind the famous blue boxes.

Since then she has been consulting on a number of fast-growing drinks startups including part-time Head of Marketing for Lixir Drinks at a time of brand transformation.

Outside of marketing, Vaughan Jones hosts Building Liquid podcast (UK top 20 podcast) as well as a regular drinks spot on TalkRadio (now TalkTV) where she champions independent drinks brands.

She is a Great Taste Awards judge, recently appointed judge for the IWSC Alternative categories and sits on the Steering Committee for the Drinks Community (part of the Drinks Trust).

Vaughan remarked, “I've been a fan of Real for a number of years and always hoped there would come a time when we'd get to collaborate.

'With the work the team have put into creating the most delicious liquid and a true alternative to sparkling wines and champagnes, coupled with the exciting plans we have on the horizon this year it feels like the perfect time to join the brand.”

Real's kombucha sparkling fermented teas are 100% natural, low sugar, low calorie, vegan-friendly and alcohol-free. They are produced by naturally fermenting exquisite loose-leaf teas.

They are on menus in restaurants and hotels including The Fat Duck, Sat Bains, The Pig, The Hand & Flowers, The Frog, and Citizen M, and stocked at Waitrose, Whole Foods, and Virgin Wines.
