£2.6m Bristol OYO manor house hotel changes hands

Winford Manor in Bristol has been sold to The Intsol Group via Christie & Co from a guide price of £2.6m.

The hotel was previously let to the global OYO Hotels chain and has been sold via a 100% share sale in Winford Holdings Ltd.

Featuring 32 bedrooms, Winford Manor is set in 7.5 acres of landscaped gardens and woodlands, just eight miles from Bristol City Centre and two miles from Bristol airport.

The Intsol Group has already begun a sizeable refurbishment project, including a renovation of the existing rooms and the addition of several new ones.

Richard Thomas, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co, said, “Assets near Bristol are few and far between, so when Winford Manor went to market, we received significant interest.

'The opportunities that the hotel’s proximity to the airport provides are endless although it is unfair to label the manor as just an airport hotel, with a wealth of potential for a country house hotel.

“The property benefits from a biomass boiler, which helps to keep energy costs down. This was a huge appeal for the buyers, in line with their ESG targets, and this is becoming a higher priority for many other prospective buyers.'
