Indian restaurant, Kachori has signed for a new 2,850 sq ft location on Ash Avenue at the heart of south east London's Elephant Park, bringing diners contemporary Pan-Indian dishes.
Headed up by owner Sorowar Khan, a highly experienced restaurateur and entrepreneur, the concept has been created and project managed by hospitality consultant Humayun Hussain, who is behind award-winning modern Indian restaurants Bandook in Bath and The Mint Room in Bristol.
Kachori, a modern, casual-dining Indian restaurant, will open at Lendlease's Elephant Park in early 2023. Dishes will include the brand’s signature namesake, Kachori, a contemporary take on Indian street food favourite of deep-fried bread stuffed with moong dal.
Also on offer will be breakfast items, Sunday brunch, and a wide range of drinks, including cocktails, craft beers, wines and spirits. With 150 covers, the restaurant will offer both indoor and outdoor seating, opening out onto the destination’s two-acre park.

Lendlease is delivering Elephant Park, a £2.5 bn regeneration project in Elephant & Castle, in partnership with Southwark Council. Once complete, it will include over 3,000 homes, 50 new retail and leisure units and 50,000 square feet of workspaces, all centred around a new two-acre park.
The area is emerging as one of South London’s most exciting food and drink hubs and, on Ash Avenue, Kachori will join a comprehensive selection of dining options, including neighbourhood pub The Rosy Hue, Mexican-fusion restaurant and bar Cheeky Chicos, and Korean-Japanese restaurant Kokoro.
