East Midlands pub and brewery group, Castle Rock has acquired The Embankment in Nottingham, which is the group's 21st venue.
The pub will undergo a major £500k refurbishment to adapt to the brand style, though retaining some of its current features. When completed, the site will also offer wedding and function rooms.
Castle Rock's chief executive, Colin Wilde, said he also planned to convert the cellar into another bar.
