Graysons awarded three-year deal with Francis Crick Institute

Graysons has clinched a three-year catering contract with the Francis Crick Institute in London, said to be worth around £6m in turnover.

The catering team will operate the 300-cover staff restaurant and the staff cafe for the 1,500 people on site. Additionally, Graysons will manage the public cafe and deliver hospitality services for meetings and events.

The new institute building (pictured) at St Pancras is set to open in early 2016. When it is fully operational, the institute will employ 1500 staff, including 1250 scientists, and have an operating budget of over £100m a year.

The Francis Crick Institute is a consortium of six of the UK's most successful scientific and academic organisations - the Medical Research Council, Cancer Research UK, the Wellcome Trust, UCL, Imperial College London and King's College London.

Graysons was established in 2008 by industry leader Sir Francis Mackay and is led by managing director Tim O’Neill. Based in Chelmsford and with an office in Central London, the firm operates at over 30 sites across London and the South of England.
