Northumberland leisure centre to receive £3.5m revamp

Northumberland County Council is to commence work next month on a £3.5m refurbishment of the Concordia Leisure Centre in Cramlington.

The scheme includes the provision of a new Clip ‘n Climb activity, soft play facilities (pictured) and a 10-pin bowling alley. The new bowling area will have ten lanes and the bar and catering will be revamped.

The venue will also feature a dedicated spinning studio, a new fitness studio, a revamped cafe and the relocation of Cramlington Library into the centre.

The modernisation work will be done in three phases to minimise disruption.
