Odeon to operate cinema at £30m revamped Peterborough shopping centre

National cinema operator, Odeon has been signed up to manage a cinema planned as part of a £30m revamp of Peterborough’s Queensgate shopping centre.

The 11-screen cinema will form part of the restaurant and leisure hub being created as a key element of the extension of Queensgate.

The 77,000 sq ft extension will be carried out jointly with John Lewis, which is releasing its under-used storage space to create a refurbished offering.

Since Invesco Real Estate bought Queensgate, and Lend Lease took over the management of the centre 15 months ago, 13 retail brands totalling almost 30,000 sq ft of space have taken space in the centre.
