    Pinewood Receives £88m Takeover Approach


    Pinewood Shepperton, the operator of film and TV studios, has received an estimated £88m takeover approach from Peel Holdings. The famous studios, where the James Bond and Harry Potter franchises are filmed, received the approach after its stock jumped 9.1 per cent to 185.5p.

    Peel Holdings also owns John Lennon airport in Liverpool and the Manchester Ship Canal Company. It recently sold Manchester's Trafford Centre for £1.6bn to rival Capital Shopping Centres.
