Veeno, the Italian wine café, has acquired a new site at the Wellington Place development in Leeds city centre. It will open its doors at 5pm on Thursday 8 December.
Veeno, which first launched in Leeds in July 2014, has also opened sites in the North West, Midlands, South West and Scotland. The new Wellington Place site will be Veeno’s tenth location.
Andrea Zecchino, co-founder of Veeno, said, “We are looking forward to opening our second wine café in Leeds, especially in such a fast growing area of the city. It will be a fantastic addition to our brand.”
Zecchino and her co-founder Nino Caruso opened their first wine café towards the end of 2013.
Veeno source its wine from Nino’s family vineyard in Marsala, Sicily. The Caruso family have been growing vines there since the 19th century.
Caruso added, 'This is a pivotal time for Veeno, looking back three years ago I could never have imagined we would be where we are now! We’re looking forward to opening our second wine café in Leeds and expanding further in the New Year!”
