McCain to sink £100m in food processing plant expansion

McCain is planning to plough £100m into the expansion of its food processing plant in Scarborough over the next three years, to meet increase in demand.

The major investment will see upgrades in equipment and an increase in sustainability across the facility.

As the UK’s largest purchaser of British potatoes, with close links to over 300 potato growers, McCain has built a strong presence in the frozen food industry over the past 45 years.
