Parogon Pub Group unveils North Staffs pub revamp plans

Parogon Pub Group has revealed its plans to redevelop the Broughton Arms pub at Balterley in North Staffordshire, with the creation of about 65 jobs - 35 full-time and 30 part-time.

The firm took over the 19th century building around five years ago and plans were approved in 2016, although work was never carried out. The revamp will include a large restaurant with a covered outdoor area (pictured) and a car park.

This year, the company will also be opening The Red House in Lilleshall, Shropshire.

Based in Staffordshire, Parogon Pub Group is a privately owned, independent company which was started in 2007 and is led by five local directors.

The portfolio includes The Wayfarer in Stone, The Orange Tree in Newcastle, Blockhouse at The Sheet Anchor in Baldwin's Gate, The Boars Head in Nantwich, and The Seven Stars in Stafford.

Pargon's first pub, The Swan With Two Necks in Blackbrook, has recently reopened after a major renovation.
