Dominique Ansel to open bistro & bakery in February

Renowned pastry chef Dominique Ansel is set to open a central London bistro, Dominique Ansel Treehouse, which will also feature a bakery.

From the man who created the crowd-pleasing Cronut, this new eatery will serve up a three-course menu which will focus on what pastry chefs do best - bread, puff pastry, pasta, pies and more.

The treehouse in the name relates to the fact that there will be a traditional bakery on the ground floor with the restaurant sitting above it.

Dominique Ansel Treehouse will open on Covent Garden's Floral Street in WC2 this February.

Dominique Ansel was named the World’s Best Pastry Chef in 2017 by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards, one of Business Insider’s Most Innovative People Under 40, Crain’s 40 under 40, and was a James Beard Award winner too.
