The have a variety of wonderful ingredients that they do not want to go to waste and given that the supermarket shelves are empty they wanted to offer something to their locals who may be struggling to get fresh meals.
They are of course adhering to the strict distancing regulation with their queuing system outside and will have it all mapped out. It will be contactless payment only and service will be through the hatch. The team are cycling or walking here and following all government guidelines.
A spokesperson told Caterlyst, '‘We have so many wonderful ingredients at Darby’s that we would hate to see go to waste which is why we have decided to open the Foot Hatch. Seeing as so many supermarket shelves are empty we wanted to offer something to our locals who may be struggling to get fresh meals - it’s amazing how times like can bring people together. The sense of community is amazing.'
The Food Hatch will be open from now until Sunday 29th from 10am - 4pm while stocks last, and menus will be subject to availability and change.
