Middleton’s plan slow expansion

Middleton’s Steakhouse and Grill, which is headed up by former Loch Fyne chefs Rob Spillings and Adam Mott, has opened a second site this time located in Norwich as the group looks to go ahead on a ‘slow and steady’ UK expansion.

The vast two-tier Norwich restaurant has 150 covers and officially opened last week. It has since finished its first full week of trading in the city centre as operations manager Spillings and head chef Mott will continue the brands trademark of offering a simple, value-for-money frill menu in a comfortable family friendly environment.

Spillings, 36, and Mott, 24, who were both educated at City College in Norwich, met while working at the local Loch Fyne restaurant. The pair went on to work at Loch Fyne restaurants in Ipswich and Cambridge, before Spillings approached Mott with the prospect of working together at Middletons. They opened the first Middletons in Kings Lynn in 2010.
