Workplace and facilities management firm ISS has secured a two-year contract extension, valued at £10 million, to continue its education partnership with the London Borough of Redbridge Consortium.
Under this agreement, ISS will keep delivering food catering services to 32 primary schools across the northeast London borough, extending a successful 15-year collaboration with the Consortium.
The contract extension received strong support at the recent Redbridge Head Teacher Conference, where school leaders highlighted ISS’s significant progress over the past year. Headteachers especially commended ISS for its consistent dedication to delivering on commitments and its innovative efforts, showcased by the successful rollout of the FEED initiative.
The FEED initiative was introduced to encourage healthy eating and boost student wellbeing in primary schools by bringing a fresh, modern approach to school dining. It features vibrant visual storytelling with friendly characters, seasonal murals, and interactive food journey displays, making nutritious meals more engaging and accessible for students. In Redbridge, this approach has resulted in a significant rise in meal participation, enhanced student satisfaction, and a more positive atmosphere during lunchtime.
