JW Lees, the North West brewer and retailer, is to open its second Duttons site in Manchester which will create around 50 jobs.
Expected to open in June, the new site will be located in a 7,000 sq ft unit on Albert Square opposite Manchester Town Hall which previously housed Prezzo and before that Chez Gerard. This area of the city is currently undergoing a revamp with fellow restaurants The Victorian Chop House Company and Piccolino recently also taking on sites threre.
Managing Director William Lees-Jones said: “Duttons has performed really strongly for us in Chester and we have been looking for other locations for some time. Manchester is obviously a place we know well.”
Duttons is a casual restaurant serving breakfasts, good quality tea and coffee all day, lunch and food and drink in the evening.
In January this year JW Lees agreed a £10m funding deal with Royal Bank of Scotland to expand its estate.
