Center Parcs has started its vast recruitment dive for 1,500 new members of staff at its new £250m Woburn Forest holiday village, which is expected to open in Spring 2014.
The Bedfordshire resort, which was first announced a decade ago, offers extensive sports and leisure facilities within the 365-acre forest on the Duke of Bedford’s estate, will include a 75-bedroom hotel, 625 forest lodges, a spa, restaurants and shops.
The jobs on offer are 500 housekeepers, 126 waiting staff, 53 spa therapists, 50 lifeguards, 19 nursery nurses and 6 nurses.
The recruitment process is expected to be completed by January with short-listed applicants invited to assessment days near the site.
The cost of the project is being provided through £100m investment funds managed by Center Parcs' owner, Blackstone, and a £150m construction loan from the UK's four leading banks, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays, HSBC and Lloyds Banking Group.
