The UK's largest children's nursery chain, Busy Bees has acquired 12 nurseries in Surrey from Rosevale Holdings for undisclosed terms.
The nurseries, trading under the names of Caring Daycare, Major Minors and Noah’s Ark, were introduced to the market by Christie + Co.
The deal sees Busy Bees add 848 places to its growing UK portfolio. The 12 nurseries are located in prime London commuter-belt territory, making this a highly prized purchase for the group.
The deal follows the acquisition of Kinder Nurseries by Busy Bees in March, a group of 12 nurseries and nine out-of-school clubs in Kent. Including the new acquisitions, the firm now operates 236 nurseries across the UK.
The group use a child nutritionist who works closely with trained Catering Managers when devising its nursery menus, which include fresh fruit, oily fish, meat, poultry, and vegetables every day.
Established in 1983, Busy Bees was acquired by Canada's Ontario Teachers’ Pension in November 2013 for £220m.
