Laver Leisure plans new leisure development

Laver Leisure has revealed plans to develop a new leisure development at the former Moneystone Quarry near Whiston in Staffordshire.

The firm has submitted a planning application to Staffordshire Moorland District Council.

The plans include 250 lodges located around woodland as well as indoor and outdoor recreation facilities.

There would also be a hub building with a restaurant and a bar, swimming pool, spa facilities and gym, 10 pin bowling lanes and a cinema room.

If approved, the development is expected to create up to 250 new jobs.

Peter Swallow from Laver Leisure said, 'We are confident our proposals will deliver an excellent opportunity to transform a former worked quarry into an attractive and sustainable recreation facility - a leisure offer which is open and accessible to the whole community, with something for everyone.'
