Italian wine firm Veeno plans expansion

Italian wine cafe concept Veeno has revealed plans to expand its chain of three sites to ten locations in the next 18 months.

The company, which serves family produced wines from Sicily alongside complementary small plates, launched in Manchester in 2013 and now also operates one outlet in Leeds and one in York.

Owner Nino Caruso said, 'It's our ambition to become a national chain.'

'There's a pool of cities we're currently looking at; depending on how things go with investors, our next launch is likely to be either Liverpool or Newcastle.'
