Filmore & Union, the Yorkshire based restaurant and cafe business, has announced more details on its new restaurant and bar, set to open in Ilkley on 10 August.
The new 1,200 sq ft, 54-cover site is expected to cost the company around £100,000 overall, and will have an outside dining area and the group’s first cocktail bar. It will also offer afternoon tea, Sunday brunch, and themed evenings such as a tapas night in August, an Italian night in September, and a Moroccan night in October.
The Ilkley branch will be the eighth in the group, and the first to open since the company raised £931,960 in its crowdfunding campaign – representing 186% of its original £500,000 target. Filmore & Union’s other locations include Wetherby, Skipton, Low Petergate, and York.
All are open from 8am serving breakfast, with an all-day menu starting at 11.30am and finishing at 10pm. Typical dishes include filled bagels; salads; smoked chicken risotto with chorizo, mango salsa and coconut; roast hake with a hemp and flaxseed crust; and chai tea risotto, edamame and watercress with mango relish and pomegranate dressing.
Founder and director of Filmore & Union, Adele Carnell, said, “We’ve been wanting to open in Ilkley for a long time now, it was just a case of finding the perfect site. Now we’ve found it we can’t wait to finally open our doors. We’re looking forward to getting involved with as many community events as possible and forming strong partnerships with local businesses.”
Two more locations are expected to open by September this year; one in Harrogate and one in Beverley.
