Bubblewrap to open first perm site in Soho

Following success with a festival food truck, Bubblewrap is bringing its sweet egg waffles to London's Soho.

Bubblewrap's first permanent site is opening next month on Wardour Street.

The egg waffle, which originates from Hong Kong in the 1950s, is cooked in a waffle iron, rolled up like an ice cream cone, then topped with gelato and covered in sauce.

Bubblewrap will be serving up a range of flavour combinations, so customers can try cocoa waffle with berries, sea salt and dark chocolate, or a more traditional matcha waffle with mochi and red bean.

There will 14 different toppings to choose from, and nine sauces including Nutella and condensed milk.

For beverages, there will be Hong Kong-inspired soft drinks, like Lemon Chill and Silky Milk Tea.
