Patrick 'Paddy' Crerar, CEO of Edinburgh-based hotel company Crerar Hotel Group, has been made a CBE in the Queen's New Year’s Honours list 2018.
Crerar, who formed his firm in 2006, was awarded a CBE for services to the hospitality industry in Scotland and to charity.
The Crerar Hotel Group owns and operates 12 hotels across Scotland and one in Yorkshire. Crerar also operates Crerar Management Ltd, which manages a number of hotels in the UK.
Crerar Hotel Group and short breaks operator, easy-breaks.com was to be sold Thai backed FICO Castle but the plans fell through in October. The group instead retained ownership and planned to make invest a substantial figure in the hotels.
Net turnover for Crerar Hotel Group in 2017/18 is forecasted to top circa. £30m.
