Oklava duo to open second Turkish restaurant in London

The pair behind Shoreditch's popular Oklava restaurant, Selin Kiazim and Laura Christie, will be opening a second restaurant in London's Fitzrovia this May.

Following on from the success with Oklava in Shoreditch, Kyseri will serve a similar menu of modern Turkish food, although it will have a key focus on Turkish ‘pastas’, which they'll make Padella-style in the window each day, and wines from the Middle East.

There'll be house-cured pastirma - air dried beef - manti dumplings and eriste - like peices of tagliatelle. There will also be Cypriot Hellim Loaf & Black Sea Fondue, Spiced Beef & Sour Cherry Manti, Yoghurt Sauce, Tomato-Chilli Butter & Pine Nuts, and Cornish Duck Breast, Braised Leg Gözleme, Grape Molasses & Black Garlic.

To finish on a sweet note, there will be desserts such as Pistachio & Kaymak Katmer, Mastic Ice-Cream.

Laura Christie, who also operates Islington's Linden Stores, has curated a list of small producers from across Turkey and the Middle East.
