Barburrito opens at Bristol Airport

Passengers at Bristol Airport can now enjoy a taste of Mexico thanks to a brand new Barburrito now open in the departure lounge. The new unit is Barburrito’s second outlet in a UK airport and the chain’s first site in the south west of England.

The first Barburrito opened in 2005 in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester by Founder and CEO Morgan Davies. The company is currently trading in 21 stores across 10 cities (London, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Nottingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gateshead and Aberdeen) with Bristol becoming the 11th city.

As in other locations across the UK, passengers at Bristol Airport will now be able to enjoy a range of fresh burritos, tacos and nachos, all fully made to order and available to sit in or take on board their flight

The opening of this new 420 sq ft unit represents an £300k investment by TRG Concessions and will be fully equipped with USB points and plug sockets for customers to charge phones and tablets, or even video call home. Barburitto is the second of three new brands that TRG will be bringing to the airport following the opening of EAT. earlier in the week. A brand new Frankie & Benny’s will follow in Spring 2019.

Morgan Davies, founder and CEO of Barburrito, commented, 'Bristol is a fantastic city and I am delighted to be open at the airport. The response from hungry travellers and commuters has been great and it is exciting to be building on our relationship with TRG concessions.'

Nick Ayerst, Managing Director of TRG Concessions, said, “We are thrilled to open our second Barburrito unit at Bristol Airport; a great brand to add to the portfolio here that will resonate with passengers and provide both great grab & go and sit down meal options.”

Kate Ridgers, Head of Commercial Development at Bristol Airport, said, 'We are delighted to see Barburrito at Bristol Airport further extending the choice of food options available. Feedback from passengers ranked Mexican cuisine within the top 3 choices they would most like to see available at Bristol Airport. It is great to see Barburrito open and available for passengers to enjoy ahead of the busy Christmas getaway.'
