US-inspired street food & bar chain, Hubbox has moved its 2013 Exeter High Street site to a new larger home in the city's Catherine Street.
The design and layout consists of a large open plan dining area, bar and rooftop terrace that all provides a subtle nod to the eatery’s nautical roots in the South West with a classic Hubbox twist.
This new two-storey location has created a much larger kitchen space. This has enabled the team to work alongside Development Chef, James Strawbridge to create new dishes and flavours, which expand on the signature menu and to utilise the latest edition to the Hubbox kitchen, the Ox Grill.
The grill enhances the flavours of the South West, infusing local ingredients with smokey tones of British charcoal transporting diners back to BBQ’s on the beach, without the worry of burning the sausages.
This year will see the opening of new Hubbox sites in Barnstaple and Plymouth.
Also, in March, Hubbox is going back to its roots in the coastal town of St Ives, with a revamp and expansion at the site where it all began.
This will be the most dramatic transformation for the Hub legacy since opening in 2003 – evolving the base of its iconic harbour front restaurant right into the building next door to create a bigger, better base at Hub St Ives.
