Island Poké launches DIY home poké bowl kit

Island Poké, Hawaiian cuisine-inspired QSR chain, has launched a DIY home poké bowl kit, allowing them to bring a slice of their renowned island vibes into people’s homes.

Like many London operators, the stores have been closed since the lockdown measures were introduced, but the team has now created a way for its customers to replicate their favourite bowls at home. With all the necessary ingredients required, customers can now become a #diypoképro while they can’t get their fix directly from the stores.

The box comes with enough ingredients for 4 portions; 2 of each of their best-selling house bowls. The Classic Ahi tuna bowl features fresh sashimi grade tuna, a pineapple salsa, wakame seaweed and crispy shallots.

The Yuzu Lomi Lomi salmon bowl includes fresh sashimi grade salmon, mango chunks and edamame. Both bowls get topped with spring onions and sesame seeds, and for those that like an extra kick there’s a tub of sriracha mayo to slather on top too.

Available to order online, a limited amount will be released at 9am each day while they build capacity. The bowls will be delivered across London postcodes inside the M25. Health and safety of both the team and customers is paramount, and contactless delivery will be used.

Founder James Porter said, “I’m so excited that we’re launching these DIY kits. Not only is it a great opportunity for us to deliver something fun and exciting for our customers, but it also helps to keep things moving for our suppliers who we work so closely with and are keen to support as much as we can through this.”

Island Poké currently has 8 sites across London that are all currently closed, however they are looking forward to phasing back in their operations both online and in store as soon as possible.
