New summer menu launches as Capital Pub Co reopens today

Capital Pub Company is reopening all its 44 sites from today, Monday 6 July, and is offering a new summer menu too.

The company, a Greene King subsidiary, has worked hard to incorporate several health and safety measures into our day to day operations to keep its teams and guests safe, while maintaining the vibrant, summery atmosphere of the Great British pub we have all missed so terribly.

The new summer menu boasts all the group's classics, including burgers, fish and chips and Charter pies, as well as some fresh, seasonal dishes, such as a tiger prawn linguine, tempura soft shell crab and burrata with cherry tomatoes and salted cracker bread.

The Sunday roasts will be back with a vengeance and an exciting wine list will be available to provide the perfect accompaniment to all dishes.

The innovative range of draught and bottled beers is also back, including old and new favourites from Camden Town Brewery, and the firm is introducing draught cocktails in selected pubs with a view to rolling them out across its whole estate, so look out for some Passion fruit and Espresso Martinis from our friends at Diageo.

The company stated, 'We have developed some key steps to keep our guests, as well as our dedicated teams, safe. We are introducing a member of staff in every pub who will ensure increased cleaning all day, every day. Hand sanitiser will be available on entry and throughout the pub.

'We will be minimising contact by installing protective screens at the tills and implementing Order & Pay via our website. Safe socialising will be facilitated by marked out socially distant points on the floor in line with the latest Government guidelines.

'The spirit of the pub lives on and we are returning just in time for summer. We cannot wait to welcome you back to your local!'
