Dishoom launches delivery kitchen in Cambridge

From today, Cambridge residents can get a fix of finest Bombay comfort food, tipples and other sundries dishoomed direct to their doors from Dishoom’s brand-new delivery kitchen.

The newly-opened kitchen in Cambridge will serve a menu of favourite Dishoom dishes, lovingly prepared by Dishoom’s chef-wallas using the same recipes and first-rate produce as the cafe´ kitchens.

Guests can now enjoy such culinary comforts at home from 12pm to 10.30pm daily in many postcodes between Eddington and Chesterton, Barnwell, Romsey and Newnham, from Trumpington to Cherry Hinton, and most neighbourhoods in between.

The Dishoom delivery menu has been specially curated to ensure all food travels well, and includes real favourites such as Keema Pau, Chicken Ruby and House Black Daal.

There are also plentiful options for vegetarians - Pau Bhaji, much-loved Mattar Paneer, Jackfruit Biryani and more – and vegans too, including Samosas, hearty bowls of Chole, first-class greens, and favourite pudding, Basmati Kheer.

Dishoom’s chef-wallas have also been busy cooking up most special delivery-only dishes, including the newly-launched lunchtime Kathi Rolls, tender morsels of chicken or paneer in makhani sauce, wrapped in soft wholewheat paratha along with green peppers, red onion and mint chutney.

The newest delivery dish is Pepper Lamb Curry, tender lamb with much black pepper, green chilli, garlic and ginger, cooked with red and yellow capsicums in top-notch masala sauce).

Soft drinks available all day, every day include favourite Bombay sodas, Limca and Thums Up, and Dishoom’s Mango Lassi. Tipples are served from 5pm Monday to Friday and all day at the weekend, and include Dishoom’s very own IPA, as well as a selection of cocktails batched and handsomely bottled for at-home enjoyment in Dishoom’s
Permit Room bar in King’s Cross.

All dishes are packaged as sustainably as possible, using cardboard from sustainably managed sources, reclaimed and renewable sugar cane pulp packaging, and carbon-neutral PLA (a smart compostable bioplastic made from plants), all of which are recyclable once rinsed or compostable.
