Greggs invests in Waterloo with new shop opening


Greggs, the leading food-on-the-go retailer has confirmed it will open a new shop tomorrow on Lower Marsh, Waterloo.

To make it easier than ever for local Greggs fans to enjoy their beloved bakes and rolls on the go, the shop will be open for take away and Click and Collect.

The opening comes as Greggs announced it would be opening 100 new shops across the UK in 2021.

The new shop will provide a modern food-on-the go experience, offering a whole range of Greggs favourites, including sandwiches, savouries and sweet treats.

The shop’s staff will be on hand to serve an array of hot drinks from peppermint and green tea to Americanos and Cappuccinos. All Greggs coffee is made from a unique blend of mild, high grown Arabica beans from Peru and Colombia and rich tasting Robusta beans from Tanzania - 100% Fairtrade.

The new Greggs shop will also stock a range of vegan-friendly products, including the Vegan Steak Bake and Vegan Sausage Roll.

Cindy Burton, shop manager at Lower Marsh Greggs, said, “We cannot wait to open our doors and welcome customers from the local community. We are pleased to offer customers a range of tasty items to takeaway or via Click and Collect.”

The shop opening times are 6.30am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday, 7.00am – 5.00pm on Saturday and 8.00am – 5pm on Sunday.
