Finalists revealed for Tilda Chef Team of the Year 2022


Tilda Foodservice has today revealed the chef teams that have made it through to the Tilda Chef Team of the Year 2022 final.

As part of HRC’s (Hotel, Restaurant & Catering) Salon Culinaire and in conjunction with the Craft Guild of Chefs, the live final will take place on Tuesday 22nd March, where one chef team will win the iconic blue trophy as well as an all-expenses paid gastro trip to Italy* later this year.

The competing teams are:
Thomas Frost & Nino Addio from Aspens/Craft Guild of Chefs
Gerrard Madden & Pawan Khatiwoda from Delaware North
Robert Garcia & Luke Rodrigues from Intercontinental London Park Lane, an IHG Hotel
James Unwin & Frankie Brant from The View Restaurant
Darian Nabaz & Edigo Oskar-Costa from Richmond upon Thames College
Marco Roxo & Ben Saggers from the House of Commons
William May & Tarisa Reid from Google RA
Jordan Thomas & Krishan Makol from Lexington.

This year, Tilda is challenging chef teams of two to embrace a festival of flavour, from Diwali and Day of the Dead to Carnival and Chinese New Year, the sixteen chefs will be showcasing their skills and fantastic Tilda rice inspired menus during the 45-minute live final.

With the UK’s most exciting chef teams competing, the judging panel will face the difficult challenge of choosing the 2022 champions.

Stuart Pate, Head Pastry Chef at The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow

The final will consist of 45 minutes to prepare four portions of a main and dessert. With the judges looking for creativity, authenticity and fun, but most importantly an entry that captures the spirit of their chosen festival and puts Tilda at the heart of their dishes.

Endorsed by the Craft Guild of Chefs, Tilda’s specialty range hosts a wide variety of delicious rice, starting with chef favourite - Easy Cook Basmati with its elegant and natural appeal.

The range also includes the nutty and aromatic Easy Cook Basmati and Wild, the naturally Fragrant Jasmine Rice and the deliciously creamy Arborio from Po Valley. The extensive selection offers great tasting rice every time, with the natural ability to absorb and enhance the flavour of a dish, for any festival.
