ACS launches People Hub for members

The Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) has developed a brand-new package of employment resources for retailers, supporting effective recruitment, retention and progression across the convenience sector.

The ACS People Hub has been launched to support members within a competitive labour market and follows the launch of the ACS Wellbeing Guide in September.

The People Hub, accessible via the ACS Member Portal, includes content on:
• Recruitment – data suite, recruitment and induction checklists, employment law advice guides, legal templates
• Retention – wellbeing guide, financial wellbeing and debt support (via MoneyHelper)
• Progression – Convenience Leadership Programme, apprenticeships.

ACS chief executive James Lowman (pictured) said, “Convenience stores provide local, secure and flexible employment to hundreds of thousands of people, making a significant and positive contribution to the economy and communities across the UK.

“Given greater competition for talent beyond the pandemic, we have developed the People Hub to be relevant throughout job tenures, from assessing candidates to onboarding and helping people grow and thrive within the sector.”
