Leon set to open three new sites across central London


Healthy fast casual brand, Leon has today announced it's opening three new sites across central London: Brixton (TBC), Euston Rd (26th September), and Battersea (10th October). This follows a slew of recent London openings including Angel, Waterloo Bridge and Kensington.

Leon is also announcing further plans to expand in other areas of London including Clapham and Southbank later in the year. These new openings represent a major part of the group’s overall growth plans which will see them have a total of 100 Leon s by the end of the year.

In celebration, free coffee will be offered on the first day of each new opening.

All upcoming openings have created new jobs for people in the local areas and are committed to sustainability with the fit outs using recycled and low impact materials throughout.

Speaking about the new London openings, Managing Director, Glenn Edwards, commented, “Leon started out as a London concept with our first ever restaurant on Carnaby Street. Even though we’ve since expanded throughout the UK, and even further afield, Leon will always have an affinity with London and offer an experience that is absolutely suited to city life.

“This is why expanding across the city, and catering to more and more Londoners, is something that’s so exciting for us at Leon. We are delighted to announce these openings and look forward to launching even more restaurants across the capital later this year and beyond.”

Guests can look forward to tucking into the new Autumn 2022 menu, which features warming and spice-infused dishes such as Spiced Pear, Ginger & Cacao Porridge (pictured) packed with organic oats, juicy apple and pear compote, and gently spiced with cardamom, cinnamon and vanilla.

There's Sweet Potato Fritter & Lime Aioli Wrap, marrying beetroot and fennel seeds into fritters with baked sweet potato, and topped with caramelised lime aioli, pink kraut and spinach; Autumn Mezze Salad featuring a warming berbere-spiced butternut squash, sweet potato and beetroot fritters, served with Leon Hummus, seasonal celeriac and kale slaw, and is topped with pink kraut and pomegranate seeds.

Also, Jerk Chicken Salad boasting the brand’s jerk-inspired chicken, paired with sweet carrot and coconut pickle, sitting on a nutritious bed of lentils, kale and crunchy slaw, and dressed in caramelised lime aioli and fresh herbs and Black Cardamom Chicken Korma fusing fragrant black cardamom with onion petals, cavolo nero, kale, and tender chicken, served with sweet carrot and coconut pickle and garnished with fresh herbs.

As well as other recent London openings, Leon has also expanded further afield with new openings in Harrogate and Milton Keynes.

EG ownership of Leon has allowed a continuous pipeline of traditional highstreet openings, like Bluewater,. It has also allowed for new formats, including the counter-stye and the Drive-Thru which opened in Gildersome recently.
